Course description

This course is designed to provide an overview of several Lean and process improvement initiatives. Specifically, the course includes sessions on strategy alignment and deployment (SA&D), lean tools, and the Practical Problem Solving Method: 8-step problem solving. The objective is to provide senior leaders a basic understanding of these concepts to improve and expand the implementation of continuous process improvement (CPI) efforts across the enterprise. By attending this course, leaders can build upon successes in process improvement to date, apply a standardized process for identifying major process improvement opportunities, and lead the organization in the realization of major performance gains.
The course includes an industry site tour or a military base improvement area to allow participants to comprehend the concepts covered in the lectures in a real-life business setting.
