This is deceiving because the factors that cause the project to spin out of control are typically set in motion early in the project. Research shows that our estimations are done pretty well in time. The problem is that we typically don’t estimate everything that we should have, and as one oversight after another cascades throughout the project lifecycle, the project budget and schedule push closer and closer to irrecoverable overruns. This short course provides the participant with proven tools and techniques that will help identify the full scope early in the project so that realistic budgets and schedules can be established and achieved.
