Organizational Relationship Management

Our culture places the individual front and center. In the media and in movies we see lone individuals, often underdogs, working tirelessly and achieving great success despite the odds and those against them. However, we are not sole actors. Our decisions, our actions, and their implications are not made in isolation.

An individual’s success depends heavily on the quality and efficacy of his or her interactions with others. A good or bad relationship can make or break and employee, just as a culture of good or bad relationships can lead an organization to success of failure.

This training invites participants to explore workplace relationships. Through research and practice we have developed a framework for employees to build stronger interpersonal relationships, effectively break down silos, and build partnerships across departments to achieve organizational goals.

  • The dangers of “best practices” and impersonal approaches
  • How to prepare for key conversations
  • Strategic vs tactical communication in relationship development
  • Bringing empathy into your interactions
  • Understand the role of body language and how to use it effectively
  • Document, analyze (SWOT), and map their relationships
  • The role of alignment on organizational relationships
  • The importance and impact of culture on relationships
  • Network interventions that can be leveraged to improve organizational relationships – Mentoring, Training, Coaching, Counseling.
  • Build internal partnerships
