We introduce three main areas of Influence:
- Poise and Presence – To Create Impact
- Empathy – To Create Trust and Connection
- Language – To Create Meaning
Being Present and Open
- We introduce and practice the mindset for getting present, for putting ones full presence into a space, and for opening ones’ presence up to others.
Creating Self-Awareness and Authentic Connection
- A story exercise to share a personal best moment. Capturing and sharing insight and understanding through metaphor.
Opening Others to One’s Ideas through the Power of Metaphor
- Learning the power of visual and emotional imagery to open up others to your ideas.
- Condensing complex information into metaphoric language.
Direct Narrative Storytelling
- Story Mining process: To discover experiences that illustrate one’s leadership values
- Story Crafting: Rehearsal process for creating a visceral, engaging and relevant stories.
- Story Telling: Feedback and coaching on story delivery.
Self-Regulation and Mindfulness practices
- Short and powerful breathing exercises will be explored as the foundation of personal leadership practices. Vocal Presence and Intention
- Exploration of vocal exercises to increase power and impact
- Intention as the catalyst for congruent and calibrated expressiveness Clear Communication
- We practice an efficient and effective model for courageous dialogue Application Coaching on presentations and client interactions
Course Objectives
Executive Poise, Presence, and Influence is an experiential and hands-on program designed to increase a leader’s self-awareness and build critical presence and communication skills necessary for leading and producing in an increasingly complex business environment.
