This seminar focuses on project management concepts and provides the basic skills required to effectively manage a project and project team. You'll be learning in a team-based environment and gain techniques for applying project management in real situations.
Our instructors are well qualified to teach project management courses. They are certified PMPs and work daily in this area.

The course includes an introduction to the knowledge areas and processes outlined in the PMBOK® (The Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge). The knowledge areas include Project Integration, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Resource Management, Communications Management, Risk Management, Procurement Management, and Stakeholder Management.
Course delivery details
Fundamentals of Project Management Program Options:
- Fall and Spring sessions meet Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. for four weeks
- The Summer Intensive meets Mondays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. for two weeks
- 2-day Fundamentals Bootcamp meets 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Costs
The course price is $655 (USD).
Continuing studies
This course is a pre-required course for the Project Management Certificate program.
If you have formal project management training or education (e.g. college-level project management training or a PMP® certification) the Fundamentals seminar may be waived, which would allow you to enroll directly in the Practical Application seminar. Please contact us for additional prerequisite information.
