Course description

Differential Equations in Action from Udacity

Differential Equations in Action: E-learning for the applied sciences

This e-learning course is designed to guide participants in the design of numerical solutions for differential equations. Throughout the program delegates will gain skills for using differential equations to work with real world problems. Participants will learn to write code in Python for rescuing astronauts, stopping the spread of epidemics, fighting forest fires and more.

Who should attend?

This Differential Equations in Action program is intended for anyone hoping to gain a clear understanding of differential equations for the applied sciences.

Pre-Requisites

This course requires basic understanding of programming in Python, an understanding of Python packages and a general comfort with trigonometry and basic vector algebra. This course looks at differential equations numerically rather than analytically, however some understanding of physics and calculus would be helpful.
