This online program is designed to help managers and project leaders overcome the unique challenges of remote teams. Our goal is to teach you to identify the individual-level challenges of team members, then equip you with the skills and strategies to overcome those challenges. Together, we’ll explore techniques and tools, processes, and communication channels that can be applied immediately to your work environment. Who should attend?
This certificate program is for people who work and manage others in remote team environments. Whether you’re new to a virtual team or a veteran in remote work, the coursework incorporates the latest technologies and strategies to promote collaboration and success as you pursue individual and team-based goals.
Training content
The curriculum is divided into four three-week courses, including:
- Course 1: Characteristics and Strategies of High-Performance Virtual Teams
- Course 2: Working & Collaborating Virtually—Individual Issues and Success Factors
- Course 3: Leading Virtual Teams
- Course 4: Tools & Techniques for Collaboration in Virtual Teams
Course delivery details
This 12-week program is delivered by full-time faculty members from the Kelley Online MBA Program.
The program will require three to four hours of work per week, including a virtual live session. These synchronous sessions will include discussions and group exercises. In addition, to live sessions that allow for real-time interaction with peers and faculty, there will also be discussion forums for information gathering and sharing. One-on-one time with faculty will also be facilitated on a case-by-case basis.
Costs
All four courses taken together cost $3,200 (USD). Taken separately, each three-week course costs $895 (USD). Those registering for the entire certificate save $380 (USD).
Certification / Credits
To earn your certificate you need to register for all four courses of the program at once or take individual courses as your schedule allows and complete all courses within two years.
