Managing Learning Programs Certificate - On-site Training

This 3-day open course is designed to provide participants with the critical leadership required to effectively develop and manage employee development. In an interactive format, this course by ATD (formerly ASTD) will include self-assessments, group work, best practice review and individual feedback.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the current and dynamic role of the learning manager in today's challenging business environment.
  • Create a learning standard by establishing a vision of how learning can improve business performance, enable the execution of organizational strategy and add value elsewhere.
  • Understand the best practices in needs assessment methods, learning needs identification, adult learning theory, learning design theory, learning technologies, learning information systems and marketplace resources.
  • Operate the L&D function as a business by converting strategies into action plans in tandem with real-life obstacles, the development and maintenance of budgets and consideration for staffing and resource deployment.
