Effective Listening in Today's Workplace
Think about it …….We are living in a 8-12 second world that is constantly competing for your attention. This alone makes listening even harder. Now more than ever we need to learn how to listen with both ears in a noise filled environment. This workshop is about how to be fully present and listen to ensure successful discussions and results.
In this highly interactive session, participants will be introduced to multiple core competencies for effectively listening and ultimately improving communication skills. Through the use of a variety of exercises and activities, the participants will build and enhance their listening skills. The workshop will provide an opportunity to actively participate in role playing real life scenarios and practice the new techniques for listening. Participants will leave with an action plan they can implement immediately.

Learning Objectives:
- Introduce the core steps in the listening process
- Explore the importance of Non-verbal skills (including body language) in a listening conversation
- Practice using the steps by role-playing using real life scenarios
- Create an action plan for immediate implementation in the workplace
