Meet Virgil Scudder

Often referred to as “The Dean of Media Trainers,” Virgil Scudder is among the world’s top communications experts and has enjoyed a more than30- year career as a communications and media trainer, a writer and speaker.

Prior to founding Virgil Scudder & Associates, he headed the media training units of Hill & Knowlton and Carl Byoir & Associates, two of the world's largest public relations firms. Earlier, he was an award-winning broadcast journalist at local and network news operations in New York City, including NBC.

Virgil Scudder’s book, World Class Communication: how great CEOs win the public, shareholders, employees and the media, was listed as one of the 25 best business books of 2012. His training methods and writing have also been featured in articles in The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, Investors Business Daily, Reuters, and other prestigious publications.  His column, "In the C-suite," that appears in every quarterly issue of The Public Relations Strategist  and focuses on communications issues that face top management, enjoys a wide following among business leaders and public relations professionals.
