The Denver Leadership Experience (DLX) is a 5-day, transformational workshop designed to challenge you to think and perform differently in order to reach your leadership potential. Developed by faculty from the highly-ranked Daniels College of Business, the award-winning program delivers timely, relevant, and innovative leadership development essentials for our ever-changing, increasingly complex business world. Employee well-being and mental health are more important than ever, therefore this program has deepened the focus on wellness, mindfulness, and stress management; habits which great leaders implement but tend to deprioritize. In addition to our robust leadership content and faculty expertise, you’ll be surrounded by a group of professionals who will bring their own experiences and input which adds value to the conversation and deepens the impact of DLX.

Who should attend?
This program is designed for experienced professionals who are currently leading a team, enterprise or global initiatives, or major projects in a company or organization.
The program requires a 15-minute phone assessment that you can schedule on our course's page. If taking the program for academic credit, unofficial transcripts of past college-level work are required. Please note that the registration deadline is three weeks prior to the program’s start date.

Developed from our experience with thousands of executives, this 5-day workshop focuses on developing leaders through the lens of the Daniels Leadership Model.
- Day 1: Leading through Change, Complexity & Challenge, Defining Purpose, Principals & Presence, Neuroleadership, Executive Presence, Experiential Activity
- Day 2: Creating Partnerships & Practices, Interpersonal Leadership, Collaboration, Leading Teams, Experiential Activity
- Day 3: Expanding perspectives and building a presence, Attracting & Retaining Talent, Managing Focus & Energy, Building Resilience, Experiential Activity
- Day 4: Thriving in a VUCA World, Transforming Culture, Strategic Thinking, Leading Change, Design Thinking
- Day 5: Building Practices for Success, Execution Disciplines, Personal Branding, Developing a Plan, Program Graduation
Course delivery details
The program has 2 format options: non-credit and credit
- The non-credit option is for participants who are not interested in receiving graduate-level credit and are participating for professional development and to update their skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- The credit-graduate-level option is for those interested in receiving graduate credits for their participation. In order to apply, you need to have completed your undergraduate degree and provide us with an unofficial transcript of that degree. These credits and your course grade will be on your official transcript.
Please be aware that there is a mandatory assignment and once the workshop begins you are no longer able to switch your status from for-credit to non-credit.
Costs
The program has 2 format options: non-credit and credit.
The non-credit format costs $5,880 (USD), with a 15% discount available for DU Alumni, Daniels Corporate Partners, and 3 or more individuals from the same organization and a 20% discount available for Non-profits, Current or Former Military, Government.
The credit format program is equivalent to 4 credit hours, so according to DU’s tuition rate in 2020, the cost is $5,704 (USD).
Certification / Credits
Upon request, Executive Education is pleased to provide a Certificate of Completion for professional development credit for the program completed.
