The ISO 10377 standard provides suppliers with practical guidelines about Consumer Product Safety. By offering practical tools to identify, assess, eliminate or reduce potential safety risks before the products enter the market; this standard is mainly intended for small and medium-sized businesses. However, it can be applicable to large enterprises as well. Consumer Product Safety focuses on design, production and retail safety. Furthermore, it is interrelated with ISO 10393, which provides guidelines for establishing, implementing and managing consumer product recalls.
