2. Confidentiality and Password Protection
In this course, you’ll learn what types of workplace information are confidential, why it’s important to protect sensitive information, and five ways to keep it safe. Understand why strong passwords are essential, how to create them, and how to combine password and login security measures to keep your information and accounts safe. Understand the common types of security threats, the importance of quick reporting, and how to report security incidents to help mitigate or stop the threat.
3. Phone Scams and Malware
In this course, you’ll learn what vishing attacks are and why people fall for them. You’ll also see examples of common phone scams so you can recognize and stop a phone scammer. Understand malware, including what it is, why it’s dangerous, and how to recognize and avoid it. Learn what to do if your device becomes infected.
4. Protect your Data
In this course, you’ll learn what multifactor authentication is, why it’s important, and how to start using it to keep your information and accounts safe. Understand more about what portable devices and removable media are, the risks associated with using them, and how you can safeguard your devices. Learn what physical safety entails and how organizations and individuals can use physical security best practices to keep their data and assets safe.
5. Social Engineering
In this course, you’ll learn what social engineering is, how to spot common infiltration methods, and how to avoid becoming a victim. Understand what phishing is and how to spot the red flags of fraudulent emails. Explore the best cybersecurity practices to protect your systems and accounts. Learn about the five types of business email compromise. Understand how to detect the warning signs of this scam—and prevent attacks.
