- The elements of a good configuration management program
Overview
Credit: 4 PDH
Length: 70 pages
This course series is divided into three volumes. This course, Volume I, describes the systems engineering process and includes an overview of system engineering and delves into requirements analysis, functional analysis, design synthesis, verification, and process outputs.
Volume II explains the analysis and control functions of system engineering which includes work breakdown structures, configuration management, technical reviews, trade studies, modeling, metrics and risk management. Volume III discusses system engineering planning, organizing, integration, and contractual considerations for large projects.
This volume is a four hour course that discusses analysis and control tools that provide balance to the process. Key activities - such as risk management, configuration management, and trade studies - that support and run parallel to the system engineering process are identified and explained.
