Lesson 1: Meet the Flat Classroom
An introduction to the flat classroom concept. Look at how you can "flatten" your own classroom and understand the impact it can have on learning.
Lesson 2: Steps 1 and 2 - Connections and Communication
Look at the first two steps in the seven-step process. Focus on the importance of making connections, and explore 21st-century communication methods.
Lesson 3: Step 3 - Citizenship
Explore digital citizenship and how you can teach it to your students. Examine how you can promote and model responsible technology use as a school and as individuals.
Lesson 4: Steps 4 and 5 - Contribution, Collaboration and Choice
Discover how you can help your students as they learn to contribute their voice to your global classroom. Examine how students can work together and understand the importance of choice.
Lesson 5: Steps 6 and 7 - Creation and Celebration
Learn to incorporate Bloom's Taxonomy into your creation process. See examples of successful projects and gain a better understanding of the importance of celebrating shared joy and a sense of accomplishment with your students
Lesson 6: Project Development
Explore the proper way to develop a project in a global classroom, with a focus on promoting collaboration among students
