Canada’s annexed Regulations Respecting Reduction in the Release of Methane and Certain Volatile Organic Compounds (Upstream Oil and Gas Sector) requires implementation of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) programs at Canadian onshore upstream oil and gas facilities by no later than January 1, 2020, amongst other requirements. Furthermore, Canada’s proposed Regulations Respecting Reduction in the Release of Volatile Organic Compounds (Petroleum Sector) will require the implementation of Leak Detection and Repair programs at Canadian petroleum refineries, upgraders and certain petrochemical facilities. The proposed regulation will require that the operator of each affected facility to implement an LDAR program and undertake monitoring, record-keeping, and reporting activities. As such, Trinity Consultants’ LDAR experts will be providing this complimentary luncheon which will provide an introduction to LDAR compliance for these two industrial sectors.
