Course participant reviews for Cydrill Software Security
Average rating 4.9
It is impressive that the course teaches the philosophy of right coding routines, not only stand-alone methods. Technically, the Cydrill Sergeant platform is groundbreaking.
The first part of the training, the OWASP TOP 10 fundamentals is a must for every developer team. The rest of modules, depending on the personality and focus area of the coder, m...
Course materials were well organized and easy to read, helped me to learn in structured manner.
The use of the unique Cydrill Sergeant platform made the lab portions of this course more effective than any similar course I've been involved in.
I enjoyed and learnt a lot from the course. It featured excellent instructor and very relevant material. Would definitely recommend the course to others.
Loved all the examples of mistakes that can be made while coding since our team was not thinking about any of them in our development.
I liked the way the frequent labs demonstrated the technical concepts. It turned the rather raw content by nature into an enjoyable learning process.
The training along with the material was pretty good. Getting a hands-on and seeing the discussed theory in practice was definitely a plus. The trainer was pretty interactive th...
I enjoyed learning about the surprising aspects of scripting and C# vulnerabilities. It was eye-opening. The part about encryption was cool.
Liked the exercises very much. The Platform is a great solution. It not only puts a challenge in front of you, but guides you all the way and teaches every step of the action.
This class was very helpful and I think I wil apply what I have learned here every day while I do my job.
SQL Injection and encryption were the strongest modules. Definitely interested in more classes from Cydrill.
The first day was mostly fun, we learned some ways how hackers think. On Day 2, I was amazed about some of the lessons. I would have never expected an integer overflow to enable...
I'd add nothing to these 3 days. It was perfect for me just as displayed. A lot to digest.
Labs were engaging, very good experience all in all. I think I should have cryptography as a separate course.
Pace of the course was just right. Favourite part was reviewing of the ways to hack XML and JSON, and the ways to prevent that. Pretty relevant to what I am currently working on.
That is a very dense curriculum but if I were to pick one topic, learning about the random number generation was really standing out of the crowd.
This course gave me so many new things that it feels like going back to work and starting doing something completely new, with an entirely different approach.
