Can you explain the difference between becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - MCP/MCSE? How long does each certification path take and what kind of experience do I need?

An Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is for professionals who have proven a comprehensive knowledge of one or more Microsoft products. This certification acts as a pathway to other Microsoft certifications.

Becoming a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer '(MCSE) is a far more in-depth process made for professionals who can understand business needs for system archicture and create solutions, deploy, install and configure architecture components. They'll also be certified to troubleshoot system problems.

It sounds like an MCP is a good place to start!
