I'm a manager of a team of about 15 marketers. I'm deciding what to do with our development budget - do you think several online courses will work better?

Hi Angela,

Online courses can be a flexible and cost-effective option but it really depends on the requirements and learning styles of your group. Online courses are great for people needing training that fits around busy work schedules but it can also require a lot more self-motivation on the participant's part to complete the coursework and is often done individually. In-house or classroom-based education can be great for those who require a set time to sit down and learn in a group environment.

At the end of the day, it really depends on what your requirements are. It would be beneficial to sit down and take a close look at your business' situation, the learning styles of your staff and compare those to the pros and cons of online learning vs other types of education. We have written this article about learning types suited to online learning which may be of help.

Best of luck for your training journey!
