Leadership Institute Certificate, Foundations of Leadership
Through the UTSA Executive Education Leadership Institute, participants develop and enhance core skills that are fundamental to organizational success. Our certificate programs provide professional development, practical experience and tools to help participants improve organizational effectiveness.
Are you looking for ways to positively impact the performance of your organization? Or, are you looking to develop the necessary leadership skills to continue moving up in your organization? Effective leadership skills are a critical component to performance and career success, and no matter where you are in terms of experience or position, our Essential Foundations of Leadership Program is an opportunity to learn and develop leadership competencies to positively impact your career.
Our Essentials of Foundation Leadership track is built around nine core leadership courses. In addition to the core courses, three customized sessions led by expert Carlos Alvarez College of Business faculty to help solidify your learning in the areas of influence, professional development and organizational strategy.

This Leadership Institute Certificate is open to all aspiring leaders in the San Antonio area who want to:

- Leadership Series (3 classes)

Capstone Classes (In-person)
- Leadership Capstone (1 class)
- Strategy Capstone (1 class)
- Professional Development Capstone (1 class)
Course delivery details
- Method of Delivery: Hybrid (core classes are delivered online; capstone classes are in-person)
- Duration: 6 months, two Saturdays a month; core classes are three hours from 9 a.m. to noon; capstone classes are four hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Costs
- For-Profit: $3,499 – $6,499
- Not-for-Profit (based on the selected executive coaching experience): $2,999 – $5,999
