Course description
The Construction Leadership Institute is an Executive Education program jointly developed by the SIUE School of Business and the Department of Construction in the School of Engineering. The program of instruction is designed and continually updated by the Construction Leadership Institute Advisory Board to ensure alignment with industry needs in a rapidly changing environment.
The Construction Leadership Institute is a convenient, accelerated, nine-week program that provides participants with the opportunity to quickly learn leadership, communication and professional skills that would otherwise take many years of experience to gain.
The Construction Leadership Institute is a unique program that brings together individuals from many different areas of the A/E/C industry. The program includes discussions, exercises and simulations that draw on the experience of participants and creates an environment of discovery and collaboration.

Who should attend?
The Construction Leadership Institute is designed to prepare individuals in the A/E/C community to succeed and lead in a challenging industry environment. You should attend if you:
- Work for a general or speciality contractor
- Work for an architectural or engineering firm
- Purchase construction services
- Provide services to the construction industry and aspire to hold a senior management or C-level position
Participants must have:
- Six years of experience and a bachelor's degree,or
- Eight years of experience with expanding responsibilities

Costs
- $3,150 - Registration Fee
- $2,950 - Early Registration Fee (For the 2021 program, payment must be received on or before October 15, 2020, to qualify)
- Registration fee includes all meals, parking, course binder and instructional materials
Certification / Credits
SIUE and the Construction Leadership Institute Advisory Board introduced the CLI Alumni Leadership Award to recognize an outstanding graduate of the Construction Leadership Institute program and honour the individual’s exceptional contributions to the building community through their leadership, character and hard work.
Any Construction Leadership Institute program graduate is eligible for nomination. Graduates who are currently serving as members of the Construction Leadership Advisory Board are ineligible to receive the award until their term on the board has expired.
Nominations may be submitted by anyone wishing to complete the brief nomination process.
