This course is designed for environmental personnel responsible for air regulatory compliance for stationary reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE). The course covers engine differentiations, air emission calculations, common air pollution controls, applicability and compliance requirements of the three main federal engine regulations (NSPS IIII, NSPS JJJJ, and NESHAP ZZZZ, a.k.a., the RICE MACT), and what to do if you’re just now finding out about your engines’ applicability. Group discussion and exercises help clarify this challenging material. Course topics include:
