Some companies have been focusing on DE&I for decades, and some decided that DE&I was important post the George Floyd incident.  Truth be told, statistics show that companies that focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are more likely to perform better. 

Your people are the most valuable asset in business, and people are diverse.  Some people are Black, Brown, short, heavy, immigrant, wheelchair dependent, Muslim, poor, young, LGBTQ, and the list goes on. The one thing they all have in common is that they are all people, just like you and me.  If the differences you see in people make you uncomfortable, ask yourself, “is it them or is it me?”
