Facilitation Skills
This facilitation skills workshop is designed for professionals working in project management, business analysis, and traditional and agile development environments who are looking to help stakeholders more effectively communicate with each other. Being an excellent facilitator requires an understanding of communication styles, as well as a set of tools and techniques to encourage active participation from all involved stakeholders.
The course will lead students through the five essentials of effective facilitation: Purpose, Planning, Performance, Professionalism, and Practice. Using case studies and hands-on learning, students will practice facilitation in a variety of real-life situations ranging from gathering and reviewing requirements, clarifying conflicting requirements, and working through the dysfunctions of a team.
