Course description
8 Habits of Very Successful Project Managers - In House
Over the years, many people have tried to distinguish what successful Project Managers do that makes them successful versus what unsuccessful project managers do not do. One researcher has identified that successful project managers have developed and follow eight specific success habits. These habits are based on and relate to the project management "hard skills" and are practiced using the PM’s "soft skills".
The 8 Success Habits are:
- Habit 1 - Know Your Outcome
- Habit 2 - Plan the Achievement
- Habit 3 - Organize for Success
- Habit 4 - Gain and Maintain Commitment
- Habit 5 - Take Massive Action
- Habit 6 - Monitor and Control Achievement
- Habit 7 - Stay Focused
- Habit 8 – The Secret Habit
When these habits are practiced using the required soft skills, project managers have a much better chance of delivering successfully.
In this 1-day workshop, participants will learn more about the eight success habits, specific approaches to implementing them, and how to best use soft skills in doing so.
