Course description

In Indoor Air Quality and Mold , you'll learn ...

Overview
Nowadays, people spend much of their time indoors – at home, at the office, in their cars, on airplanes, etc. In fact, many of us even stay indoors to exercise. Until recently, very little thought was given to the environmental risks inside of structures such as homes or offices. Using case studies, as well as helpful illustrations, this webinar will examine the impact of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and mold on the inside environment of both residential and commercial structures.
In the first half of the webinar, you will learn about common IAQ components, their associated health effects, and how to control IAQ. We will discuss the reasons and methodology for conducting an IAQ survey, along with testing procedures and common corrective actions. We will also briefly review the EPA guidelines and LEED™ certifications for IAQ.
The second half of the webinar will cover the basics of mold. You will learn about different types of mold and the basic components of a mold investigation. We will also review and discuss commonly accepted remediation methods and preventative measures.
