Course description
There are many ways to train safety, health, or environmental professional trainers; some are good, and some aren’t. Since the trainer may be the most critical piece to the safety program, you will want to be sure you are doing it right. OSHA is vague on its requirements, and you will see all types of offerings, everything from training a trainer online in under an hour to week-long classes and everything in between. The amount of time and money you invest will reflect the type of trainers you end up with, and bargain-based programs will result in bargain-based trainers. Depending on how many trainers you want to train, you may need to send your trainers out to be trained, or the vendor may bring the show on the road to your site.
IASHEP Certified Trainers have 25 to 50 years of training experience. Many have worked for OSHA as compliance officers and for Fortune 500 companies, and some even operate their own private consulting companies. Most IASHEP Certified Trainers act as expert witnesses when they are called upon when an accident has occurred.
