Course description
A competent person is an employer-designated individual who is equipped to identify, control and correct workplace hazards. Our competent person training courses are fully compliant with 29 CFR 1926.32(f), providing a comprehensive education in workplace hazards and how to correct them.
Why is our program different from everyone else? We teach you how to develop an effective safety and health training program and how to instruct adults. IASHEP uses the ANSI/ASSP Z490.1 standard, which provides guidance on how to manage overall safety training programs and criteria for developing training that incorporates adult learning principles.
Learn to deliver training effectively, evaluate the outcomes and application of training on the job, and document the training to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory mandates. The ANSI/ASSP Z490.2 standard guides accepted practices specifically for e-learning in safety, health and environmental training programs.
