Course description
Learn how to establish, maintain, and monitor a respirator program following the requirements in 29 CFR 1910.134. Discuss the technical aspects for the proper selection and use of respiratory protection. Evaluate compliance with OSHA's standards by using the compliance directive and the "Small Entity Compliance Guide."
The Respiratory Protection Standard is 29 CFR 1910.134. It requires a written respirator use program, medical evaluations of respirator users, fit testing of respirator models used on potential wearers, and training of respirator users. The Respiratory Protection Train-the-Trainer program will prepare the attendee to coordinate the respiratory protection program, conduct the training, and perform both qualitative and quantitative fit testing.
