High Potential Leadership Development

Frontline and high-potential employees need more than opportunities to successfully step into a leadership role. To lead others, individuals must first effectively lead themselves.

In Eagle’s Flight’s comprehensive Emerging Leaders Program, the personal leadership skills of your high potential leaders will be sharpened, with a focus on soft skills like communication, time and stress management, and effective relationship-building. As part of your talent management strategies, these emerging leaders will acquire these personal leadership skills and will be far better able to drive increased focus, improve efficiency, and maximize their contribution to the organization. All are important leadership fundamentals as they look to future leadership in your organization. The experiential sessions featured in each module will be particularly beneficial to this group of leaders as they get hands-on practice with the skills that will determine their career trajectory.

Modules can be combined or stand-alone and are most effective when paired with assessment and retention tools.

Training content

The following 6 modules help to develop leadership fundamentals in high potentials resulting in better talent management by keeping individuals engaged, motivated, and valued. Ideal for employees with no direct reports. (Those with direct reports - see our Mid-level leadership development)

Modules are offered in-person and virtually. Modules can be combined or stand-alone and are most effective when paired with assessment and retention tools.

Post-course reinforcement is available. Customization is available. 

1. Building Effective Relationships

Understand yourself and others better, and so leverage relationships and differences to achieve better outcomes

2. Time Management

Integrate proven time-management techniques into daily functions in order to more efficiently prioritize tasks and activities

3. Communicating and Listening

Implement the techniques of effective listening in order to communicate more effectively in any situation.

4. The Seven Cornerstones of Teamwork™

Develop the skills, knowledge, and approaches necessary to be an accountable team member that enhances team performance.

5. Resolving Conflict at Work

Learn the mechanics and skills of conflict resolution, and apply these tools to real-world situations.

6. Managing Stress in the Workplace

Recognize the factors that lead to stress, and develop tools and strategies to manage that stress.

They will return to work with the skills, tools, and confidence to:

  • Manage their time, workload, and priorities
  • Communicate their ideas effectively and listen to the ideas of others
  • Take accountability for their role on the team and support the needs of other team members
  • Overcome conflict at work
  • Recognize and overcome stress

Course delivery details

Modules can be combined or stand-alone and are most effective when paired with assessment and retention tools. Each module is one day in length when in-person. Virtual and hybrid options vary in length depending on the particular module
