About

Disaster Recovery Institute International
Since it was founded in 1988, Distaster Recover International (DRI International) has certified over 15,000 professionals in more than 100 countries. Today, 94% of Fortune 100 companies have DRI certified professionals on staff. In fact, a higher number of individuals are certified by DRI International than by all other business continuity organizations combined. In addition to certifying professionals, DRI offers organizations accreditation, and assesses them to determine their level of resilience.
Services for Continuity Professionals
DRI offers professionals additional services including holding conferences, leading outreach, and volunteerism. DRI holds an annual conference that brings together resilience professionals and allows them to network with leading experts in the field and collaborate with industry peers. DRI's Collegiate Conferences series is held with partner universities in order to introduce students and faculty to the quickly-growing business continuity profession. To make more people aware of the field, DRI also introduced the 501(c)(3) non-profit Disaster Recovery International (DRI) Foundation. The mission of this foundation is both to promote disaster risk reduction through partnership and education, and to aid disaster recovery efforts through fundraising and volunteerism. The Foundation has also committed itself to supporting veterans via the Veterans Outreach Program.
A Recognized Expert Resource
DRI works as an adviser to organizations and government institutions all over the world. In this role, they help in the development of professional standards to promote greater resilience. DRI is a member of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction's (UNISDR) Private Sector Working Group ARISE Initiative and was on the business and industry delegation to the negotiations of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. DRI is also an ANSI-accredited Standards Development Organization, a CQI and IRCA Approved Training Partner, and an International Organization Liaison Observer to ISO/TC 292 for standardization in the field of security to enhance the safety and resilience of society.
