Communicating with Executive Presence and Assertiveness
Most professionals are “good enough” speakers. They can present information professionally and communicate competently.
The challenge is when they need to influence new stakeholders, make a stronger impact on their teams, and convey authority and warmth.
This is especially tough when they are taking on a new management role, leading more people, or under greater scrutiny from a board or from senior executives.
They need to develop executive presence and gravitas to motivate, influence and lead others.
Having a strong presence is not only critical for presentations and speeches, but also for day-to-day communication in the workplace and over phone and video calls.
This training program takes participants through a series of structured exercises, simulations and roleplays to facilitate their personal development.
Participants learn principles of influence, emotional intelligence, effective interpersonal skills, and strengthening professional relationships.
Participants in this program are pushed out of their comfort zone and receive honest and frank feedback. They build assertiveness and learn how to overcome mental hurdles that prevent them from having a powerful presence.
Key training lessons include:
-Mindset techniques to build authentic confidence and assertiveness in any situation
-Developing a clear professional identity and personal brand
-Building the habit of strategic thinking
-Navigating office politics and strengthening emotional intelligence
-Verbal communication: message strategy, word choice, storytelling, and more
-Nonverbal communication: body language, hand gestures, vocal tonality, and more
Participants will go through multiple practice exercises and role-plays. Their drills will be recorded on video for reflection and analysis.
Their speeches can be transcribed and analyzed for word choice, persuasiveness, speaking speed, and other metrics.
