Creating the Sales Success Plan
Selling remains one of the few professions where people can decide how much money they want to make, and they work their way backward mathematically to determine how many new prospects they must find, what percentage they must win, and at what average sale value in order to achieve this target. Unfortunately, most salespeople never develop this sales success plan. Without a clear understanding of how many NEW Prospects are needed each week or month in order to achieve their goals, they often devote energy to prospecting only when their funnel is empty, and skip it entirely when their funnel is full. This creates feast and famine cycles that stress individuals and organizations unnecessarily.
