The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) is the largest member association in the world with more than 400,000 members in 144 countries. The AICPA represents the accounting profession and has a history of serving the public interest since 1887. AICPA members represent many areas of practice, including business and industry, public practice, government, education and consulting.

The AICPA sets ethical standards for the profession and U.S. auditing standards for private companies, nonprofit organizations, federal, state and local governments. It develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination, and offers specialty credentials for CPAs who concentrate on personal financial planning; forensic accounting; business valuation; and information management and technology assurance. Through a joint venture with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, it has established the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation, which sets a new standard for global recognition of management accounting.

While I can't say I enjoyed every presentation, I can say I learned and was exposed to information I haven't seen yet. If you're new to Forensic Accounting, these tutorials will provide a good overview on many different subjects that Forensic accountants encounter daily. I think the program's main value is in the "certificate." All told, I would recommend for this purpose. But I have a few gripes. The program is long on applicable "standards" on short on substantive content. There is no text copy (e.g., a pdf) of the program that you get to keep for reference.
