Course description
This course, Supervision and Management Skills, will provide you with an understanding of the the skills and tools needed to supervise and manage others. You will learn how to set expectations, how to set goals, how to assign work, degrees of delegation, implementing delegation, and providing feedback. You will be able to explain how to best manage your time, resolve conflict, tips for special situations, and a survival guide for the new supervisor. You will also learn about team building through chemistry, including understanding teams, the team development model, chemistry in teams, and diversity.
This course then explains vision and goals for your team, roles within the team, leadership functions, how to develop cohesion, build relationships, and how to direct the team. You will learn about the role of middle manager, including an introduction to management, ethics, social responsibility, managing information, decision-making, control, and organizational strategy. You will also learn about innovation, change, organizational structures, processes, managing teams, motivation, and leadership.
This course then wraps up by diving into servant leadership.
