Presentation skills to showcase your product or software

A B2B product demo can make or break a deal. Successful presenters need to be poised and confidently answer buyers' tough questions in real time while aligning your product's value and benefits with the needs and specific challenges buyers are trying to solve.

Mastering Product Demos helps participants better understand their audience and focus their demos more effectively and persuasively on the buyer's needs. This reduces or eliminates feature regurgitation, overly detailed or technical explanations, and confusing topic changes. The result is less friction in the buying process and more product sales.

All Turpin Workshops are highly customized to your organization's and employees' specific goals and challenges and can be delivered on-site or virtually.

During this two-instructor workshop, participants will work on their own real-life demo presentations. They will be video-recorded followed by private video review and coaching. Through this process, participants will build their self-awareness and develop the skills they need to succeed.

The Mastering Product Demos workshop incorporates a blended learning approach through eCoach, Turpin's skill-reinforcement program. Participants complete pre-work before the workshop and have access to job aids and reference material after training has taken place. They also receive a copy of The Orderly Conversation: Business Presentations Redefined

Throughout the class, participants apply the principles of The Orderly Conversation® to their own real-life product demos. Each presenter’s audience may vary – from small or large in-person groups to remote or hybrid environments. Regardless of circumstances, successful participants will learn to

  • Frame their demos to provide context and a reason for others to watch and learn
  • Use demos to showcase the product or software while addressing customer needs and objections in real-time
  • Engage customers in a comfortable, flexible conversation
  • Communicate effectively face-to-face, virtually, and in hybrid situations
  • Be clear and concise
  • Manage nervousness and gain self-awareness
  • Listen well
  • Remain nimble and think on their feet
  • Weave customer stories into the conversation when appropriate
  • Use projected, hand-held, or hard copy visuals effectively, whether face-to-face or virtual, seated or standing (even when using a canned deck)
  • Use virtual tools, including video, for maximum engagement
  • Get the business of the presentation done effectively and efficiently
