Course description
Managing Innovation: Driving Ideas from Strategic Initiative to Value Creation
Innovation is happening rapidly across the globe. One of the largest and most constant challenges for businesses is to keep up with this quick pace. In order to be competitive, organizations have to be ready to create value by developing, selecting, and exploiting new ideas for improvement through radical changes in products, processes, positioning, platform, or paradigm.
Barnes & Conti Associates created Managing Innovation™ based on the research of David Francis, Ph.D. at the Centre for Research in Innovation Management of the University of Brighton in the U.K. This workshop offers participants an incredible opportunity to both learn and apply essential skills and processes for leadership and management of innovation. The workshop includes structured activities, real life cases, and practicing of skills. Participants are taken on an innovation journey through many phases and then give and receive feedback. They will learn six areas of organizational innovation capability and then apply these to their own areas of responsibility and influence. Participants leave the workshop with a plan for implementing the innovation management skills they have learned.
